Thank you for your continued support of The Carl O Boucher Prosthodontic Conference. We are pleased to present an exciting new format for the 53rd Meeting of The Carl O. Boucher Prosthodontic Conference to be held Friday April 13th, 2018. The 2018 conference will be at The Marriott and Residence Inn Columbus University Area found at 3100 Olentangy River Road Columbus, OH 43202. This is a new hotel and meeting venue with exceptional features. The program will occur in the main ballroom with a spacious open area outside for our vendors and breaks. It will begin with registration and a buffet breakfast at 7:30 AM. The program will then start at 8:00AM with an exceptional lineup of speakers. The day’s events will conclude with an upgraded reception from 5:30 – 8:00 PM offering several options for food and enjoyment. The entire event will offer 10 hours of continuing education and time to catch up with friends and colleagues!

We have a room block reserved for our members that travel to the conference we strongly encourage you to use. The executive officers have worked hard to upgrade the conference to this new format. We hope to see you there!

Speakers

Dr. Oded Bahat is a diplomate of The American Board of Periodontology and a fellow of The American College of Dentists. Dr. Bahat has served as the Chairman and Director of Post Doctorate Periodontics at the University of Southern California’s School of Dentistry and maintains a private practice in Beverly Hills, California. Dr. Bahat has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally. His presentation entitled, “The 4th Dimensional Influencing Planning and Surgical Reconstruction with Implants,” was recently presented at the annual meeting of The Academy of Osseointegration.

Dr. Nathanial Farley is a prosthodontist at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Dr. Farley’s particular area of expertise in dentistry is the incorporation of technology in solving oral health problems. Specifically, the CAD/CAM processes, virtually planned implants, digital dentures and in-office 3D printing. Dr. Farley provides continuing education programs through Impact Dental Seminars. His presentation is entitled, “Digital Solutions to Craniofacial Syndromes - Diagnostics to Treatment.”

Dr. Clark Stanford is a prosthodontist and the Dean of The University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. He has served on the faculty at The University of Iowa College of Dentistry where he was also the Associate Dean for Research and The Director of Clinical Research. He is a member of numerous professional organizations and has served on several national committees. Dr. Stanford has lectured both nationally and internationally and specializes in the treatment of patients for complex rehabilitation with an emphasis in craniofacial anomalies.

Dr. Curtis Jansen is a prosthodontist and fellow of The American College of Dentists who maintains a private practice in Monterey, CA. Dr. Jansen has served as the Director of Implant Dentistry and a faculty position in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at the University of Southern California’s School of Dentistry. Dr. Jansen has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally on treatment planning and restoring dental implants. His presentation is entitled, “Are we ‘Screwed’ or can we ‘Cement’ Implant Restoration Relationships? Current Trends and New Beginnings for Retaining Restorations on Dental Implants."

Dr. Al Guckes was selected this year as the Honorary Svensson Lecture. Dr. Guckes is a prosthodontist and faculty at The University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. Dr. Guckes has been involved extensively in the treatment of patients with craniofacial conditions. His career has focused not only on the clinical treatment of patients with extensive long-term needs but also included an NIH prospective clinical trial. He has been an advocate for the National Foundation for Patients with Ectodermal Dysplasias where he has lectured extensively in an effort to provide education and information for this unique patient. His presentation is entitled, “Prosthodontic Management of Persons with Ectodermal Dysplasia."
